Joshua Przybycien was a brilliant, beautiful, full-hearted man who found his calling to herbalism just after high school and learned to navigate this world with care, meaning and an appreciation for every part of the natural world. Joshua loved nature and honored it in every capacity. He also enjoyed art and finding ways to express this avenue through things such as pottery or foraging for plants barefoot. Joshua is a free and bountiful spirit who lived his life true to his heart. He tragically lost his life to a tree that fell on us while we were camping in the woods one autumn night, but his memory and love still remain so palpable.

The first spark of this dream ignited during our time living in the Berkshires, sipping tea curled up on the couch in front of the window, watching the snow fall. As we sat cozy and comforted, we discussed Christmas gift ideas for our friends and family. We wanted to do something different, something heartfelt, showing the abundance of love in our hearts and eager to share that with our loved ones. It was here, that Moonlit Honey was born, when we decided to make Christmas gifts with love in our hearts and hands, incorporating some of our passions involving plant medicine, dedication to sustainability and curiosity to create. Moonlit Honey would be the name we put on these gift labels, continuing to create them for Christmas and birthdays to come for our loved ones.

After Joshua’s passing, I knew I wanted to continue with this tradition of making these gifts for our friends and family. As this dream continued to grow and develop, this business became a reality. Keeping this name, connected to the core of this company’s inspiration, was a must, as this time in my life and Joshua are forever a part of my heart.
